SCOTTY McCREERY IS MOST ADDED AT COUNTRY RADIO WITH “CAB IN A SOLO”
With 120 Stations, the New Single Receives Most First Week Adds of McCreery’s Career and for Label Triple Tigers
McCreery Has Third Biggest Add Day of 2023
With six consecutive hits under his belt, Triple Tigers recording artist Scotty McCreery finds continued success at Country radio with his latest release, “Cab in a Solo.” Yesterday, the new single debuted as the Most Added Song of the Week. With 120 stations reporting, the track received the most first week adds of McCreery’s career as well as the largest first week showing for his label Triple Tigers and the third biggest add day of the year.
“Wow! I’ve been doing this now for twelve years, and this is the largest add week I’ve ever had and it’s the first time I’ve had the most added song on my first week,” said McCreery. “Thank you country radio for all your support both now and through the years, and thanks to the Triple Tigers promotion team. I’ll be drinking cab in a solo tonight!”
“It was only a matter of time before Scotty had a breakout add day like this,” said Kevin Herring, Triple Tigers SVP, Promotion. “He writes and sings amazing country songs, while busting his ass and being one of the best ambassadors for the country format there is. We are all so proud of him.”
The milestone launches the next chapter in the country crooner’s career who turns 30 this fall. Having spent almost half his life making country music, the North Carolina native continues to push himself creatively as well as personally. Stream the new track HERE.
Written by McCreery, Frank Rogers and Brent Anderson and produced by Rogers, Derek Wells, and Aaron Eshuis, “Cab in a Solo” offers the first taste of new music from McCreery since the release of his 2021 album Same Truck.
Upon its release Friday, Taste of Country declared “McCreery’s country roots shine.” With a hint of neotraditional country and dash of 90’s country nostalgia, the heartbreak track finds the happily married father in unfamiliar territory – lamenting a failed relationship.
I’ve sent a dozen texts and I ain’t heard jack
I guess she’s busy playing hard to get back
So, I bought roses and her favorite wine
Thinking we’d be making up in no time
But I’m parked here out on her street
Looks like the joke is on me
Sitting here I can’t believe what I just saw
A couple shadows kissing on her bedroom wall
It’s looking like my plan didn’t work out at all
Our break turned into broke up
So now I’m finding out how heartbreak tastes

The new single follows the recent success of “It Matters to Her” the fastest climbing single of McCreery’s career. The singer/songwriter has earned five consecutive No. 1 hits in the last few years including RIAA Platinum-certified No. 1 “Damn Strait” and RIAA Gold-certified No. 1 “You Time,” all found on Same Truck: The Deluxe Album.
Earlier this summer McCreery joined the Brooks & Dunn REBOOT Tour 2023. He is currently out on the road for his own headlining tour with 25+ dates through the fall.
McCreery is among six inductees in the 2023 class scheduled to be enshrined in the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame during the annual induction ceremony this fall. The induction ceremony will take place on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at the Mooresville Performing Arts Center in Mooresville, N.C. VIP and General Reserved tickets are available HERE.
McCreery returns to the Grand Ole Opry on September 14 to perform as part of “Opry Country Classics.” He’ll be back on the Opry stage on December 3 as part of “Opry Country Christmas.” Tickets can be purchased for both shows at Opry.com.

SCOTTY McCREERY PERFORMS “IT MATTERS TO HER” ON ABC’S “GOOD MORNING AMERICA”
Triple Tigers recording artist Scotty McCreery joined ABC’s “Good Morning America” to perform “It Matters to Her” yesterday, June 14. Joined by wife Gabi and seven-month-old son Avery, McCreery and his band launched into his latest smash hit and fastest rising song of his career. Watch the performance HERE.
Written by McCreery, Rhett Akins and Lee Thomas Miller, “It Matters to Her” highlights some of the wisdom the North Carolina native has gleaned through his marriage to Gabi, as the couple prepares to celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary this month.
“I'm still learning, trust me — got a long way to go,” McCreery shared with PEOPLE. “But it’s what I’ve learned so far. We put it all into a song, and it’s got a little kind of country vibe that I grew up with, and I just love it. I turn it up whenever it’s on the radio.”
“It Matters to Her” followed RIAA Platinum-certified No. 1 “Damn Strait” and RIAA Gold-certified No. 1 “You Time,” all found on his latest album Same Truck: The Deluxe Album. McCreery has earned five consecutive No.1 hits in the last few years.
Tonight, McCreery rejoins the Brooks & Dunn REBOOT Tour 2023 for three final shows this weekend before heading back out on the road in July for 25+ headlining dates through the fall.
