Triple Tigers recording artist Scotty McCreery launched his highly-anticipated Seasons Change Tour last week at the House of Blues in Dallas, Texas on Thursday, Nov. 29. Promoted by Live Nation, the dynamic entertainer also played in front of ecstatic fans at the Aztec Theatre in San Antonio on Friday, Nov. 30, and the House of Blues in Houston on Saturday, Dec. 1. The tour celebrates McCreery’s current album Seasons Change, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Album Chart in March.

“After planning the Seasons Change Tour for so long, it was exciting to finally begin,” said an enthusiastic McCreery. “The fans at the first three dates in Texas were amazing and really brought out the best in me and my band. We can’t wait for the next shows!”

Before his concert on Nov. 29 in Dallas, McCreery also gave an acoustic performance at an intimate KSCS Radio event hosted by morning DJ Hawkeye, which raised money for Cook Children’s Hospital.

Joining McCreery on his Seasons Change Tour are his special guests Jimmie Allen and Heather Morgan (Texas singer/songwriter Mike Ryan filled in for Allen in Houston due to a previous commitment). Upcoming dates for the Seasons Change Tour include Dec. 7 at The Myth in St. Paul, Dec. 8 at the Egyptian Room in Indianapolis (where country music duo Walker McGuire will fill in for Allen), and Dec. 9 at the House of Blues in Chicago. McCreery can currently be heard on radio with “This is It,” which is currently No. 12 on the Mediabase / Country Aircheck Country Singles Chart. He co-wrote the song with Frank Rogers and Aaron Eshuis, inspired by his proposal to his now-wife, Gabi. “This is It” is the second single from McCreery’s album Seasons Change, which also contains his No. 1 Platinum-certified smash “Five More Minutes.”

Scotty performed two acoustic songs as part of the Grand Ole Opry’s “Stairwell Sessions Facebook Live” while at the Ryman Auditorium over the weekend.  You can watch Scotty perform with Jeff and Dylan here.

Scotty McCreery’s “Barefootin’,” which he co-wrote with David Lee Murphy and Frank Rogers, was named the winner of the 2018 Carolina Beach Music Award for National Song of the Year. The song, which hit No. 1 on the Beach Music Top 40 Chart in September, can be found on the country music singer/songwriter’s current album Seasons Change, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart when it was released in March.

“I was raised on beach music, so to be honored by the Carolina Beach Music Awards for National Song of the Year is really special,” said McCreery, who was backstage at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville preparing for his performance on the Grand Ole Opry when he learned he won the Award. “I had a lot of fun writing ‘Barefootin’ with David Lee and Frank, and I’m so happy that people are enjoying it. My wife and I have talked about taking shag dancing lessons. It could be fun to eventually shag dance to my own song.”

McCreery is currently ranked No. 21 and rising on the Mediabase/Country Aircheck Chart with his single “This is It,” inspired by his proposal to his now-wife Gabi Dugal McCreery. The video for the song, which has earned more than 19 million views and topped the GAC Top 20 Countdown for multiple weeks, was filmed at their wedding. The ACM, BMI, CMT and NSAI Award winner will both perform and turn on the holiday lights at Elvis Presley’s Graceland this Thursday, Nov. 15 in Memphis, Tenn. McCreery launches his Seasons Change Tour, featuring special guests Jimmie Allen and Heather Morgan, on Nov. 29 at the House of Blues in Dallas, TX.

Be sure and watch “Country Music’s Biggest Stars: In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts” on ABC this Sunday (Nov. 11) at 10 PM Eastern | 9 PM Central. Scotty will be among the country artists interviewed on the show.  The show had a video camera at Scotty’s Fan Club Party and his performance on the Riverfront Stage at CMA Music Festival earlier this year. We don’t know if that footage made the final cut of the special, but some of you might see yourselves on camera if it did.

While in Denver last week when Scotty performed two near-sold out shows at the famous Grizzly Rose, he also interviewed with Eddie Haskell for the “Behind the Rose” podcast. You can listen to it here.
